4.5 / 5

What a revelation! A great movie made from fans to fans!

From this fanmade movie, we get a quite in-depth disclosure upon Tom Marvolo Riddle early lives as a teenager to his ambitious desire to be invincible. Not too many characters, simple storyline, good effects, and decent casts. And from a non-profit fan projects, this movie is pretty good nevertheless. I give an A for the effort.

And this movie brings the encounterance of Tom Riddle to Hepzibah Smith (that was in the book but did not made it in in the movie), a justice.

Eventhough I pictured "Tom Riddle" during his teenage days as, say, someone who are more "charming", you know, someone that were charming and that has the aura that could captivate most of the teachers and students to respect him for his good reputation  he was a model student. I expected he had a good personality, well, a good personality to hide his true colours and real intention, of course, to manipulate everyone into believing that he was doing everything for the sake of a knowledge and curiousity, eventhough that was not the case. I did not expect him to be obviously evil. In that case, nobody would believe or respect him. He would not become model student if most of the people know he was evil since the beginning.

But I can tell, this movie puts his personality on a spectrum. He gave off the vibe of what could really happen to the respectable model student when he was being himself behind closed doors.

The idea of "The Heirs". Well, it kinda brings that "Marauders" vibe with all the oath and friendship stuffs. Though in the beginning, I was like, feeling weird about the idea, because realistically, the heirs of each house does not necessarily needs to be in the same era, I mean, it was a very big coincidence that all of the four founders' heirs could all gather together in one time. Tom Riddle was the heir of Slytherin, and maybe it was him alone that appears to be "one of the founder's heir" that looms in Hogwarts corridors during that time. Another founder's heir could appear during a different era than Tom Riddle. Gosh, I'm so suck into explaining things I think that nobody will get this. I hope nobody will attack me because I'm just voicing out what I fantasized, I'm not here to give criticism. It just that, I'M SUCK AT EXPLAINING 😭😭😭😭😭

Nevertheless, the idea of "The Heirs" is pretty good too. This is fan-fiction, right? No need to take it serious.

And lastly, the plot twist. As a smart person (hehe), I already expected the plot twist. But, whatever. I still enjoyed it.

best wishes,
